Eligibility Details
Candidates applying for the RSSB Lab Assistant posts must have passed Senior Secondary (12th Class) from a recognized board. The required qualification varies according to the department/post, as given below:
1. Secondary Education Department
Applicants must have passed 12th Class with at least three optional subjects from the following:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Mathematics
- Biochemistry
- Microbiology
- Biotechnology
2. Agriculture Department
Candidates should have completed Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary (12th Class) in the Science stream from a recognized board.
3. Sanskrit Education Department
Applicants must have passed Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary (Varishtha Upadhyay) with Science stream from a recognized board.
4. Home Department (State Forensic Science Laboratory)
Candidates must have:
- Passed 12th Class (Science stream) with minimum 2nd Division, and
- Possess any one of the following computer qualifications:
- Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Computer Science or Computer Application
- NIELIT ‘O’ Level Certificate
- RS-CIT Certificate from Kota
5. Public Health Engineering Department
Applicants should have passed Higher Secondary (12th Class) in Science stream with Chemistry as a compulsory subject.
6. College Education Department
Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (12th Class) with Geography as one of the subjects.
Salary Details
Candidates selected for the RSSB Lab Assistant posts will be paid salary as per the Rajasthan Government pay structure.
- Pay Level: Level–5
- Pay Matrix: ₹20,800 – ₹65,900
- Grade Pay: As per Level–5 rules
During the probation period, selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration as decided by the Rajasthan Government. After successful completion of the probation period, the regular pay scale will be applicable.

Selection Process
Candidates who obtain a valid CET score will become eligible to appear in the main examination conducted by RSSB. On the basis of CET marks, candidates will be allowed to participate in the Lab Assistant written examination.
The written examination will consist of Paper–I and Paper–II. Based on performance in these papers, a merit list will be prepared. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for Document Verification. Final selection will be made after successful verification of documents.
