Eligibility Details
For Multi Tasking Staff (MTS):
- Candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) or equivalent from a recognized board
- Desirable: Intermediate (12th Class) qualification
- Desirable: Previous experience in the relevant area of work
For Junior Hindi Translator (JHT):
- Master’s degree from a recognized university in Hindi or English, with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level
OR - Master’s degree in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with Hindi or English as the medium, and the other language as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level
OR - Master’s degree in any subject with both Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects at the degree level
- Must possess a recognized Diploma or Certificate in Translation (Hindi ↔ English)
OR - Minimum two years of professional translation experience from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central/State Government offices or Government of India undertakings
Salary Details
For Multi Tasking Staff (MTS):
- Approximate total monthly salary: ₹33,650
- Pay Level: Level–01 | Pay Scale: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900
For Junior Hindi Translator (JHT):
- Approximate total monthly salary: ₹65,500
- Pay Level: Level–06 | Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400

CSIR AMPRI Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
For Multi Tasking Staff (MTS):
- Selection will be conducted through a Trade Test, which is qualifying in nature
- Candidates who qualify the Trade Test will appear for a Competitive Written Examination
- Written Examination Pattern:
- Total Questions: 150, Total Marks: 450
- Duration: 2 hours
- Subjects & Distribution:
- Reasoning: 25 Questions
- Mathematics: 25 Questions
- General Knowledge (GK): 50 Questions
- English: 50 Questions
- Negative Marking: 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written examination
- Document Verification will be conducted before final appointment
For Junior Hindi Translator (JHT):
- Selection will be based on a Competitive Written Examination
- The test evaluates translation skills (Hindi ↔ English), grammar, and language proficiency
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification
- Final selection depends on overall performance in the written exam and fulfillment of eligibility criteria
