Eligibility Details
1. Deputy Registrar
- Postgraduate degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in Government / Universities / Statutory or reputed organizations at a senior level.
- Experience in administration, finance, establishment, legal, or purchase matters is desirable.
- Professional qualification in Management or Finance & Accounts is preferred.
2. Assistant Registrar
- Postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks and a strong academic record.
- Experience in administrative or supervisory roles in Government, Semi-Government, Universities, or Institutes of National Importance is desirable.
- Knowledge of administration, finance, establishment, or store & purchase work is preferred.
- Good computer skills and independent drafting ability are required.
3. Junior Superintendent
- First Class Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a relevant administrative or office-related field.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software.
- Knowledge of Government rules, noting, and drafting in Hindi and/or English is desirable.
4. Junior Assistant
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Basic knowledge of computer operations is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of office software and good communication skills is desirable.
5. Junior Technician (CSE / ECE)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in relevant discipline
OR ITI with minimum 2 years of experience in the concerned field. - Practical experience in handling laboratory equipment and computers is desirable.
- Experience in assisting undergraduate laboratory work is preferred.
6. Junior Technician (Library)
- Degree from a recognized university with Diploma in Library Science
OR a three-year degree in Library Science. - Experience in library automation and library management software is desirable.
- Knowledge of routine library operations is preferred.
Salary Details
1. Deputy Registrar
- Pay Level: Level 12 (7th CPC)
- Pay Scale: ₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200
- After 5 years of service, eligible for Level 13 with designation of Joint Registrar under Non-Functional Selection Grade (NFSG).
2. Assistant Registrar
- Pay Level: Level 10 (7th CPC)
- Pay Scale: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
- After 8 years of service, eligible for promotion to Level 11 as per institute norms.
3. Junior Superintendent
- Pay Level: Level 6 (7th CPC)
- Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
- Includes admissible allowances as per Government of India rules.
4. Junior Assistant
- Pay Level: Level 3 (7th CPC)
- Pay Scale: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100
- Other allowances applicable as per institute and Central Government norms.
5. Junior Technician (CSE / ECE)
- Pay Level: Level 3 (7th CPC)
- Pay Scale: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100
- Entitled to standard allowances as per rules.
6. Junior Technician (Library)
- Pay Level: Level 3 (7th CPC)

Selection Process
- The selection process will be decided by IIIT Ranchi as per institutional requirements.
- Group A Posts will be selected mainly through Personal Interview.
- Deputy Registrar: Personal Interview only.
- Assistant Registrar: Personal Interview; a screening test may be conducted if required.
- Group B and Group C Posts will be selected through a Domain Written Test and Skill Test.
- If necessary, a screening test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for further stages.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the written test, skill test, or interview.
- Final selection will be based on performance in the selection stages and document verification.
- The institute reserves the right to modify the selection process at any stage.
