Eligibility Details
1. Clerk
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.Sc. or equivalent) from a recognized university.
- Must have passed the Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the subjects.
- Applicants should have proficiency in computer applications, especially Word Processing and Spreadsheets.
2. Stenographer Grade III / Steno-Typist
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.Sc. or equivalent) from a recognized university.
- Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as one of the subjects.
- Applicants must qualify a shorthand test with a speed of 80 words per minute (WPM) in English and transcription at 20 WPM.
- Candidates should also have basic computer proficiency in Word Processing and Spreadsheets.
Salary Details
Candidates selected for the posts will receive a consolidated monthly salary of ₹29,200, which is the minimum pay admissible to employees as per the instructions issued by the Government of Punjab and adopted by the concerned authorities. The salary will be provided during the adhoc appointment period as per the applicable government guidelines.
Age limit
- The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years.
- The maximum age should not be more than 37 years.
- The age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.
- Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of Punjab.

Selection Process
- Written Examination (For Clerk): Candidates applying for the Clerk post will have to appear in a written test consisting of English Composition and General Knowledge, each carrying 50 marks. Candidates must secure at least 33% marks in each subject to qualify.
- Computer Proficiency Test: Candidates who qualify in the written examination may be called for a Computer Proficiency Test to check their skills in Word Processing and Spreadsheets.
- Skill Test (For Stenographer Grade III / Steno-Typist): Applicants for the stenographer post must qualify a shorthand test with a speed of 80 words per minute in English and transcription at 20 words per minute, along with basic computer proficiency.
