Eligibility Details
Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification prescribed by the Railway Recruitment Board before submitting the online application.
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate) from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification.
- Recognized Institution: The degree should be awarded by a university or institution recognized by the Government of India.
- Final-Year Students: Candidates who are still awaiting their final examination results or whose graduation results have not been declared are not eligible to apply.
- Document Verification: Candidates must produce their original educational certificates and supporting documents during the Document Verification process.
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive a salary under Pay Level-6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC). In addition to the basic pay, they will also be eligible for various allowances and other benefits as per Railway rules.
- Pay Level: Level-6 (7th CPC)
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹35,400 per month
- Dearness Allowance (DA): Payable as per Central Government rules.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): Provided according to the city of posting.
- Transport Allowance (TA): Admissible as per Railway norms.
- Other Benefits: Selected candidates may also receive medical facilities, leave benefits, pension/NPS benefits, and other admissible Railway allowances as applicable.

The age limit will be calculated as on 01 July 2026. Candidates must satisfy the prescribed age criteria before applying.

Selection Process
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will conduct the selection process in four stages. Therefore, candidates must qualify in each stage to move forward in the recruitment process.
1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
The CBT will be the first stage of the recruitment process and will be conducted in online mode.

- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

- UR / EWS – 40%
- OBC (NCL) – 30%
- SC – 30%
- ST – 25%
- PwBD candidates may receive a relaxation of 2 marks in qualifying marks if sufficient eligible candidates are not available.
2. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be shortlisted for the CBAT.
- Candidates up to 8 times the total vacancies will be called for this stage.
- A minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery is compulsory to qualify.
- No negative marking will be applicable in the CBAT.
3. Document Verification (DV)
Candidates who clear the CBAT will be invited for Document Verification.
- Original educational certificates and other required documents will be verified.
- Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:1 ratio against the notified vacancies.
- The final merit list will be prepared by giving 70% weightage to CBT marks and 30% weightage to CBAT marks.
4. Medical Examination
Finally, shortlisted candidates must undergo the prescribed medical examination.
- Candidates must satisfy the A-2 Medical Standard specified by the Railway Recruitment Board.
- Only medically fit candidates will be considered for the final appointment.
