Salary Details
Selected candidates for the Subedar and Sub Inspector posts will receive a Pay Level 9 salary ranging from ₹36,200 to ₹1,14,800. During the probation period, the department will provide a fixed stipend based on the prescribed percentage of the minimum pay.

Application Fee
Candidates need to pay the prescribed examination fee according to their category. The fee structure is as follows:

Additionally, candidates need to pay the applicable MP Online portal fee:
- ₹60 when applying through an authorized kiosk.

Candidates who qualify for the Main Examination will also need to pay the applicable departmental examination/processing fee of ₹200 for Unreserved candidates and ₹100 for reserved candidates.
Selection Process
The recruitment authority will conduct the selection process in multiple stages. First, candidates will take the Preliminary Written Examination. Next, shortlisted candidates will appear for the Main Written Examination. After that, qualified candidates will undergo the Physical Efficiency Test and Interview. Finally, the board will prepare the merit list based on the prescribed selection criteria.
1. Preliminary Written Examination
The Preliminary Examination will serve as the first screening stage. It will carry 100 marks and candidates will get 2 hours to complete the paper. Moreover, the board will conduct the exam in an objective multiple-choice format.

The Preliminary Examination will not carry negative marking. Furthermore, the board will prepare separate merit lists for technical and non-technical posts. Candidates up to 10 times the advertised vacancies in each applicable category will qualify for the Main Examination.
2. Main Written Examination
Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Written Examination. The Main Examination will include two compulsory papers, with each paper carrying 300 marks. Therefore, candidates will have to score well across both papers to remain competitive.

The Main Examination will follow an objective format. However, candidates will face negative marking of 1/3 mark for every incorrect answer.
3. Physical Efficiency Test
After the Main Examination, the board will shortlist candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET will carry 100 marks and will assess candidates through three physical events.

Candidates who qualify for the Physical Efficiency Test and complete the required document verification will appear for the Interview. The Interview will carry 50 marks and will form part of the final selection process.
Final Merit List
Finally, the board will prepare the merit list by considering candidates’ performance in the Main Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, and Interview. In addition, the board will use the prescribed Normalised Equi-Percentile method wherever required for examinations conducted across multiple shifts or stages. Thus, candidates will need to perform consistently throughout the selection process to secure a place in the final merit list.
