The recruitment offers opportunities for eligible graduates to join Indian Railways in posts carrying Pay Level 5 and Level 6 under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Eligibility Details
Candidates must hold the required graduation qualification for the respective NTPC Graduate post, as specified below:
- Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Station Master: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Goods Train Manager: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Junior Account Assistant Cum Typist: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent, along with proficiency in computer typing.
- Senior Clerk Cum Typist: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent, along with proficiency in computer typing.
- Traffic Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.
Salary Details
Candidates selected for RRB NTPC Graduate posts will receive salaries under Pay Level 5 and Pay Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission. However, the exact salary will vary depending on the post allotted to the candidate.
- Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor: Pay Level 6 – ₹35,400 basic pay
- Station Master: Pay Level 6 – ₹35,400 basic pay
- Goods Train Manager: Pay Level 5 – ₹29,200 basic pay
- Junior Account Assistant Cum Typist: Pay Level 5 – ₹29,200 basic pay
- Senior Clerk Cum Typist: Pay Level 5 – ₹29,200 basic pay
- Traffic Assistant: Pay Level 4 – ₹25,500 basic pay
In addition to the basic salary, selected candidates will receive applicable allowances and benefits as per Railway and Central Government rules.
Age limit
The RRB NTPC Graduate age limit will be calculated as on 1 January 2027. Candidates must fall within the prescribed age range to apply for the notified posts.
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 33 years
RRBs will provide upper-age relaxation to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the applicable government rules.
- OBC-NCL: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- PwD: 10 years
- Other eligible categories: Relaxation as per the detailed RRB notification and applicable government rules.
Application Fee
Candidates need to pay the prescribed application fee while submitting the RRB NTPC Graduate application form. The fee varies according to the candidate’s category, as given below:
- General/OBC: ₹500
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Female/Transgender/Minority/EBC: ₹250
Selection Process
The RRB NTPC Graduate selection process will consist of CBT 1, CBT 2, Document Verification, and Medical Examination. Candidates must qualify at each stage to move ahead in the recruitment process. The exam will test candidates in General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence & Reasoning.

- Final Selection: RRB will prepare the final selection based on merit, vacancies, preferences, and fulfilment of all required conditions.
