CSIR CDRI Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Details
✅ Hindi Officer (Group-A)
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications from a recognized University:
- Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR - Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR - Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi as the medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR - Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English as the medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR - Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects, or one as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level
AND
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in:
- Translation work from English to Hindi or Hindi to English, preferably of technical or scientific literature,
OR - Terminology work in Hindi,
OR - Teaching or research in Hindi and/or English
- Translation work from English to Hindi or Hindi to English, preferably of technical or scientific literature,
Experience should be under Central/State Government, Union Territories, Autonomous Bodies, Statutory Organizations, PSUs, Universities, or recognized research/educational institutions.

- Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized board
OR - ITI Pass (as per special requirements of the post, if applicable)

CSIR CDRI Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
🔹 Post Code-A: Hindi Officer
The selection process for the post of Hindi Officer will consist of a Written Examination followed by an Interview. The final selection will be based on a 75:25 weightage of Written Test and Interview respectively.
Written Examination:
- Mode: Objective Type (MCQs)
- Medium of Exam: Hindi
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Maximum Marks: 300
- Negative Marking:
- 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
- No deduction for unanswered questions
Interview:
- Maximum Marks: 100
Shortlisting for Interview:
- For 1 UR post, up to 12 candidates scoring the highest marks and securing a minimum of 50% marks in the written examination will be called for the interview.
- The interview will be conducted at Lucknow.
🔹 Post Code-B: Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
The selection process for MTS will be conducted in two stages:
Stage-I: Trade Test
- Eligible candidates shortlisted by the Screening Committee will be called for a Trade Test.
- The mode and conduct of the Trade Test will be decided by the Selection Committee.
Stage-II: Competitive Written Examination (CWE)
The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Written Examination only.
