Eligibility Details
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized board (for UR/OBC/EWS).
- For ST category, minimum qualification is 8th pass or equivalent.
- Applicants must have knowledge of at least one musical instrument from the prescribed list (mandatory).
- Additional instruments (from the desirable list) can give bonus marks in selection.
- Candidates should possess basic understanding of band performance.
Salary Details
- Pay Scale: ₹19,500 – ₹62,000 per month
- Training Stipend (During 3-Year Probation):
- 1st Year: 70% of basic pay
- 2nd Year: 80% of basic pay
- 3rd Year: 90% of basic pay
- Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), and other government benefits
- Pension: Provided as per Defined Contribution Pension Scheme
- Job Status: Initial 3 years on probation; permanent government job after successful completion of probation

Selection Process
- Phase-I: Skill Test (Screening)
- Candidates will perform on one instrument from List “A”.
- This is a qualifying test only (no marks).
- Only successful candidates proceed to Phase-II.
- Phase-II: Band Vadana Test (75 Marks)
- Trade Test (List “A” instrument): 60 Marks
- Bonus Marks (List “B” instruments): 15 Marks (5 marks per instrument, maximum 15)
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR / OBC / EWS: 50%
- SC / ST: 40%
- Candidates are shortlisted 3 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) for the interview.
- Phase-III: Interview (25 Marks)
- Evaluates personality, general knowledge, expression, and sports.
- Final merit = Band Vadana Test (75) + Interview (25) = 100 marks
- Tie-breaker: Older candidate gets preference
- Final Selection:
- Subject to Document Verification, Medical Examination, and Character Verification
