Eligibility Details
Candidates applying under the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board recruitment must meet the following educational qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- Computer Qualification:
- A minimum 120-hour course in Computer Applications / Information Technology / Office Productivity Applications / Desktop Publishing Applications from a Government-recognized (ISO 9001 certified) institution
OR - An ‘O’ Level certificate equivalent to DOEACC (now NIELIT).
- A minimum 120-hour course in Computer Applications / Information Technology / Office Productivity Applications / Desktop Publishing Applications from a Government-recognized (ISO 9001 certified) institution
- Punjabi Language Requirement:
- Punjabi must have been studied at Matriculation level (or equivalent)

- Pay Scale: ₹35,400 per month
- As per: 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC)

Selection Process
The selection process conducted by the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board will consist of a Written Examination (Objective Type – MCQs).
Written Exam Pattern
The examination will be divided into two parts:
Part A – Local Language (Punjabi)
- Qualifying in nature
- Minimum 50% marks required to pass
- Marks will not be counted in the final merit list
Part B – Objective Paper (Merit-Based)

- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer

- General Awareness – 45 Questions
- Reasoning Ability – 15 Questions
- Computer Knowledge – 10 Questions
- Local Language – 30 Questions
The final merit list will be prepared based only on the marks obtained in Part B, subject to qualifying Part A. Candidates who clear the written examination will be called for document verification as per category-wise merit.
