Eligibility Details

1. Librarian (Academic Pay Level – 10)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science (or equivalent) with at least 55% marks.
  • Consistently good academic record with knowledge of library computerization.
  • Must have cleared NET / SLET / SET, or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations.

Note:
Candidates with Ph.D. (as per prescribed conditions) may be exempted from NET.


2. Administrative Officer (Pay Level – 10)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks.
  • Selection will be through written test + interview.

3. Junior Assistant (Pay Level – 02)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
  • Typing speed:
    • 35 w.p.m. in English, or
    • 30 w.p.m. in Hindi
  • Basic computer proficiency required.

4. Library Attendant (Pay Level – 01)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent.
  • Certificate course in Library Science from a recognized institution.

Salary Details

1. Librarian (Academic Pay Level – 10)

  • Pay Level: Level 10
  • Basic Salary: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month
  • With allowances (DA, HRA, etc.), the gross salary can go around ₹80,000 – ₹1.2 lakh+ per month (approx).

2. Administrative Officer (Pay Level – 10)

  • Pay Level: Level 10
  • Basic Salary: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month
  • Expected in-hand salary: around ₹75,000 – ₹1,00,000+ per month depending on allowances.

3. Junior Assistant (Pay Level – 02)
