Eligibility Details
The required qualification for the RCF Kapurthala Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is given below:
- Candidates must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) or equivalent under the 10+2 system.
- Candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Class 10th.
- Candidates must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by NCVT in the relevant trade.
- The notified trades include:
- Fitter
- Welder (G&E)
- Machinist
- Painter (G)
- Carpenter
- Electrician
- AC & Refrigeration Mechanic
- Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
- Electronic Mechanic
Salary Details
RCF Kapurthala will provide the selected apprentices with a stipend as per the applicable rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time. The notification does not specify a fixed monthly stipend amount.
- Stipend: As per prevailing Railway Board rules.
- The apprenticeship will follow the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.
- Hostel accommodation will not be provided; therefore, apprentices must arrange their own accommodation during the training period.
Age limit
The age will be calculated as on 05 September 2026.
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
- Candidates must have completed 15 years of age and must not have completed 24 years as on 05.09.2026.
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation
- PwD: 10 years relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen: Additional relaxation as per the prescribed rules.
Application Fee
Candidates need to pay the application fee according to their category.
- UR / OBC (Male): ₹100
- SC / ST / PwD / Women: No Fee
- The fee is non-refundable.
- Candidates must pay the applicable fee online through the payment gateway provided in the application form.
- Candidates must complete the payment within 2 working days after successfully submitting the application form.
Selection Process
RCF Kapurthala will select candidates through a merit-based process, without conducting any written examination or interview.
- First, RCF will prepare a merit list using the simple average of the candidate’s 10th Class and ITI/NTC percentages.
- The merit calculation will consider marks obtained in all subjects of Matriculation.
- RCF will prepare the merit list trade-wise and community-wise in descending order of merit.
- In case of a tie, the older candidate will receive preference. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will get preference.
- Shortlisted candidates will then appear for Document Verification (DV).
- During DV, candidates must produce their original certificates and a medical fitness certificate.
- Finally, candidates must meet the prescribed medical fitness standards under the Apprentices Act and Apprenticeship Rules.

- Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph in the prescribed format.
- Upload your scanned signature as per the specified requirements.
