Eligibility Details
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Standard) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
- Candidates must possess the required qualification on or before 31 August 2026.
- Candidates with an equivalent qualification must produce the relevant Equivalence Certificate during Document Verification.
- Candidates holding a higher qualification can also apply.
Salary Details
The selected Canteen Attendants will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. Accordingly, the pay details are:
- Basic Pay: ₹18,000 per month
- Pay Level: Level 1
- Pay Matrix: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900
- In addition, selected candidates will receive other allowances and benefits as applicable under Central Government rules.
- The selected candidates will remain on probation for 2 years.
Age limit
The department will calculate the candidate’s age as on 31 August 2026. The prescribed age limit is:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years
- Candidates must have been born between 1 September 2001 and 31 August 2008.

Selection Process
The department will select candidates through multiple stages. First, it will shortlist candidates based on their 10th-standard marks. After that, shortlisted candidates will appear for the written examination and skill test.
- Stage 1 – Scrutiny & Shortlisting: The department will shortlist 280 eligible candidates, with up to 40 candidates considered against each vacancy, based on their percentage of marks in Matriculation.
- Stage 2 – Written Examination: Shortlisted candidates will appear for the objective-type written examination.
- Stage 3 – Skill Test: The department will shortlist 70 candidates from the written examination for the Skill Test. The Skill Test will carry 60 marks and will assess practical canteen-related skills.
- Stage 4 – Final Merit List: The department will prepare the final merit list based on the combined marks obtained in the written examination and Skill Test.
- Stage 5 – Document Verification: Candidates selected in the final merit list must produce their original documents for verification.
- Stage 6 – Medical & Character Verification: Finally, selected candidates will undergo medical fitness and character/antecedent verification.

Therefore, the final merit will be prepared out of 100 marks, combining the 40 marks of the Written Examination and 60 marks of the Skill Test.
