Eligibility Details
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th Class) from a recognized board or institution.
- The educational qualification certificate must be valid at the time of application.
- Applicants should possess basic reading and writing knowledge of Hindi.
- Candidates must meet the required physical eligibility standards prescribed for the post.
Salary Details
- The Bihar Home Guard salary is based on the State Pay Matrix Level 3, with a basic pay range of approximately ₹5,200 to ₹20,200 per month.
- In addition to the basic pay, selected Home Guards receive a grade pay of around ₹2,000.
- Depending on duty days and allowances like daily duty pay, dearness allowance (DA), HRA, and other government benefits, the in-hand monthly earnings generally range from about ₹20,000 to ₹25,000 or more.

Selection Process
1. Online Application & Document Verification
- Candidates must fill out the online application form correctly.
- Submitted details and uploaded documents (educational certificate, caste certificate, residence proof, etc.) will be verified.
- Only eligible candidates will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 15 Marks
The Physical Test is the most important stage of selection. Marks will be awarded based on performance.
For Male Candidates
- Running: 1.6 km race to be completed in 6 minutes.
- Shot Put (Gola Fek): 16-pound shot to be thrown up to 16 feet.
- High Jump: Minimum 4 feet.
- Long Jump: Minimum 12 feet.
- Height: Minimum 162.56 cm (Relaxation for Kosi & Purnia Division – 157.5 cm).
- Chest Measurement: 79–84 cm (Relaxation for Kosi & Purnia Division – 76–80 cm).
For Female Candidates
- Running: 800 meters to be completed in 5 minutes.
- Shot Put: 12-pound shot to be thrown up to 10 feet.
- High Jump: Minimum 3 feet.
- Long Jump: Minimum 9 feet.
- Height: Minimum 153 cm.

3. Merit List Preparation
- Marks obtained in the Physical Efficiency Test (out of 15 marks) will be used to prepare the merit list.
