Stage 2 – CBT 2 (Computer Based Test – Main Examination)
Divided into Part A and Part B
Part A – Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science & Engineering, General Awareness
Part B – Relevant Trade/Technical discipline questions
Higher difficulty level than CBT 1
Marks of Part A are considered for shortlisting to the next stage
Stage 3 – CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test)
Applicable only for ALP candidates
Qualifying in nature with minimum required score in each test battery
Aptitude test marks are considered in final merit calculation
Stage 4 – Document Verification (DV)
Verification of educational certificates, category certificate, age proof, and other required documents
Stage 5 – Medical Examination (ME)
Candidates must meet strict railway medical standards
ALP requires A-1 medical category fitness
Final appointment will be made based on merit, performance in CBT 2 and CBAT (where applicable), successful document verification, and medical fitness.
