Selection Process
- Stage-I: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- The first stage is a Computer Based Test conducted for all posts.
- The exam includes objective-type questions from subjects like General Awareness, English, Reasoning, Arithmetic, and subject-related topics.
- Candidates are shortlisted for the next stage based on CBT performance (around 5 times the number of vacancies).
- Stage-II: Descriptive Test
- Shortlisted candidates appear for a descriptive paper.
- It includes a short essay and a letter/application (one in Hindi and one in English).
- This stage is qualifying in nature, and candidates must score at least 50% marks.
- Stage-III: Skill / Trade Test (Post-wise)
- Applicable only for selected posts such as:
- Stenographer (Stenography test)
- LDC (Typing test)
- Forest Guard (Physical test – walking test)
- Technician (Maintenance) (Trade test)
- This stage is also qualifying in nature.
- Applicable only for selected posts such as:
- Final Selection
- Final merit list is prepared based on CBT marks only.
- Descriptive and skill/trade tests are qualifying in nature.
- Document verification is conducted before final appointment.
- Therefore, the final selection depends mainly on CBT performance, followed by qualifying tests where applicable.
