  • Applicants should also possess at least five years of experience in taxation and finance-related work.
  • Moreover, candidates must have knowledge of Income Tax, GST, statutory returns, and financial rules.
  • Applicants should also know MS Office, Excel, and ERP software.

2. Estimator

  • Candidates must complete a two-year Civil Draftsman course from a recognized ITI.

  • Applicants can also hold a three-year diploma in Civil or Architectural Assistantship.
  • Knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level remains essential.

3. Physiotherapist

  • Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy with at least 50% marks.

  • Applicants can hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy with at least 55% marks.
  • Punjabi up to Matric standard is compulsory.

4. Watch & Ward Supervisor

  • Candidates should be Ex-Junior Commissioned Officers not below the rank of Subedar Major.
    OR
  • Applicants can be retired Police Officers not below the rank of Inspector.
  • Punjabi up to Matric level is essential.

5. Clerk-cum-Junior Data Entry Operator

  • Candidates must hold BCA, B.Sc. (IT), B.Sc. (Computer Science), or similar qualifications with at least 50% marks.

  • Applicants can graduate with Computer Science as an elective subject.
  • Candidates with Graduation plus PGDCA also qualify.
  • Punjabi up to Matric standard is mandatory.

6. Security Guard

  • Candidates must be Ex-Servicemen from Defence Forces, CAPF, or Police services.
  • Applicants should pass Matric with Punjabi as a subject.
  • Moreover, candidates must maintain a good service record.

    Salary Details

    Guru Nanak Dev University will provide salaries according to the pay levels fixed for each post. Along with the basic pay, selected candidates may also receive benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Allowance, Travel Allowance (TA), and other government allowances as per rules.

    • Consultant (Taxation) – Selected candidates will receive a fixed salary of ₹50,000 per month. However, this post will remain temporary initially for one year, therefore regular pay-scale allowances may not apply.
    • Estimator – Candidates appointed to this post will get a basic pay of ₹29,200 under Level-5 pay scale. In addition, the university may provide DA, HRA, TA, and other admissible allowances.
    • Physiotherapist – The university will offer a basic salary of ₹29,200 in Level-5 pay scale. Besides the basic pay, candidates can also receive DA, HRA, and other allowances.
    • Watch & Ward Supervisor – Selected applicants will receive a basic pay of ₹21,700 under Level-3 pay scale. Moreover, the salary package may include DA, HRA, and additional benefits.
    • Clerk-cum-Junior Data Entry Operator – Candidates will get a basic pay of ₹19,900 under Level-2 pay scale. Furthermore, the university may provide DA, HRA, medical benefits, and other allowances.
    • Security Guard – The university will provide a basic salary of ₹18,000 under Level-1 pay scale. Along with the salary, selected candidates may also receive DA, HRA, and other approved allowances.

                      Age limit as on 28.05.2026

                      Guru Nanak Dev University has prescribed different age conditions for selected posts. Therefore, candidates must check the eligibility criteria carefully before applying.

                      • Consultant (Taxation) – The maximum age limit for this post is 65 years.
                      • Security Guard – Candidates applying for this post should not be more than 52 years of age.

                      Selection Process
