Eligibility Details
- Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th Class) Examination from a board recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- Applicants must secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the Class 10 examination.
- Candidates who are appearing in the Class 10 board examination for the academic year 2025–26 are also eligible to apply.
- Such candidates must produce the original marksheet during the later stages of the recruitment process if shortlisted.
- The marksheet submitted must show that the candidate has secured the required minimum marks in aggregate and in individual subjects as prescribed for the recruitment.
- Internet copies or provisional documents will not be accepted during document verification.
Salary Details
Selected candidates joining the Indian Navy as Agniveer (MR) will receive a fixed yearly increasing salary package during their four-year service period under the Agnipath scheme:
- 1st Year: ₹30,000 per month (In-hand: ₹21,000, Contribution to Agniveer Corpus Fund: ₹9,000)
- 2nd Year: ₹33,000 per month (In-hand: ₹23,100, Contribution to Corpus Fund: ₹9,900)
- 3rd Year: ₹36,500 per month (In-hand: ₹25,550, Contribution to Corpus Fund: ₹10,950)
- 4th Year: ₹40,000 per month (In-hand: ₹28,000, Contribution to Corpus Fund: ₹12,000)
In addition to the salary, Agniveers will also receive risk and hardship allowance, dress allowance, and travel allowance as applicable. After completing four years of service, candidates will receive a Seva Nidhi package of approximately ₹10.04 lakh, which includes their contribution and the matching contribution by the Government.
Age limit
- Agniveer 01/2027 Batch: Candidates must be born between 01 December 2004 and 31 May 2009 (both dates inclusive).
- Agniveer 02/2027 Batch: Candidates must be born between 01 May 2005 and 31 October 2009 (both dates inclusive).
Candidates born between 01 December 2004 and 31 October 2009 are eligible to apply for the INET 2026 examination, but their final eligibility for Stage II will depend on the age criteria of the respective batch.
