Eligibility Details
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
- Candidates who have completed a three-year diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology) from a recognized Polytechnic institute with at least 50% marks are also eligible.
- Applicants who have completed a two-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics as non-vocational subjects from a recognized education board with minimum 50% marks can also apply.
- Students who are appearing in the Class 12 board examination for the academic session 2025–26 are also eligible to apply, but they must produce the original marksheet during the later stages of recruitment.
Salary Details
Selected candidates in the Indian Navy Agniveer (SSR) scheme will receive a monthly salary starting from ₹30,000, along with yearly increments. The salary structure during the four-year service period is as follows:
- 1st Year: ₹30,000 per month (₹21,000 in-hand, ₹9,000 contribution to Agniveer Corpus Fund)
- 2nd Year: ₹33,000 per month (₹23,100 in-hand, ₹9,900 contribution)
- 3rd Year: ₹36,500 per month (₹25,550 in-hand, ₹10,950 contribution)
- 4th Year: ₹40,000 per month (₹28,000 in-hand, ₹12,000 contribution)
In addition, candidates will receive risk and hardship allowance, dress allowance, and travel allowance as applicable. After completing four years of service, Agniveers will receive a Seva Nidhi package of around ₹10.04 lakh (including their contribution and the government’s matching contribution).
Age limit
- Agniveer 01/2027 Batch: Candidates must be born between 01 December 2004 and 31 May 2009 (both dates inclusive).
- Agniveer 02/2027 Batch: Candidates must be born between 01 May 2005 and 31 October 2009 (both dates inclusive).
Note: Candidates born between 01 December 2004 and 31 October 2009 are eligible to apply for INET 2026, but eligibility for Stage-II will depend on the batch-wise age criteria.

Selection Process
- Stage I – INET Exam: Candidates must appear for the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) 2026, a computer-based exam with 100 objective questions from English, Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness.
- Shortlisting for Stage II: Candidates will be shortlisted state-wise based on INET marks for the next stage.
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Shortlisted candidates must qualify the physical test including 1.6 km run, squats, push-ups, and sit-ups as per required standards.
- Stage II Written Examination: Candidates who pass the PFT will appear for another 100-question objective written test based on the 10+2 level syllabus.
- Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify the written test will undergo a recruitment medical examination by authorized military doctors.
- Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on Stage II written exam performance, subject to qualifying the PFT and medical standards.
