- Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) [Code 101]
- Candidates must have completed a B.Sc. (Regular) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry as subjects.
- Trade Apprentice – Fitter (Mechanical) [Code 102]
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) and possess a 2-year ITI Certificate in Fitter Trade from a recognized institute.
- Technician Apprentice – Chemical [Code 104]
- Candidates should hold a 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or Refinery & Petrochemical Engineering.
- Technician Apprentice – Mechanical [Code 105]
- Candidates must have completed a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Technician Apprentice – Electrical [Code 106]
- Candidates should possess a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Technician Apprentice – Instrumentation [Code 107]
- Candidates must have a 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
- Trade Apprentice – Secretarial Assistant [Code 108]
- Candidates should have completed a regular Bachelor’s Degree (B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com.) from a recognized university.
- Trade Apprentice – Accountant [Code 109]
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree.
- Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher) [Code 110]
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
- Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holder) [Code 111]
- Candidates should have passed Class 12 and must also possess a valid Domestic Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate issued by a recognized authority under the National Skill Qualifications Framework (NSQF).
Salary Details
The selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act and IOCL rules. Key details are given below:
- Monthly Stipend: Paid according to the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 (as amended) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited guidelines.
- Fixed Amount: The official notification does not mention any fixed monthly stipend for any apprentice post.
- Additional Allowances: No HRA or company accommodation will be provided during the apprenticeship period.

Selection Process
IOCL will select candidates on the basis of merit without conducting a written examination. The selection process is as follows:
- Merit-Based Shortlisting: IOCL will prepare the merit list based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination.
- No Written Examination: Candidates do not need to appear for any written test during the selection process.
- Tie-Breaking Rule: If two or more candidates secure the same percentage, the older candidate (by date of birth) will get preference. If the tie still continues, higher Class 10 marks will decide the merit.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce all original documents to verify their eligibility, educational qualifications, category, and other required details.
- Medical Examination: Finally, candidates who clear document verification must pass the pre-engagement medical fitness test before receiving the apprenticeship offer.
