Salary Details
The selected candidates will receive the following benefits during the apprenticeship period:
- Monthly Stipend: IOCL will pay a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and the applicable apprenticeship guidelines.
- No HRA or Accommodation: The corporation will not provide House Rent Allowance (HRA) or residential accommodation.
- Accident Insurance: Every selected apprentice will receive accident insurance coverage during the training period.
- Safety Equipment: Eligible technical apprentices will receive one pair of safety shoes and a safety helmet for use during training. These items remain the property of IOCL and must be returned after completion.
- General Leave: Apprentices can avail 32 days of general leave, including leave on medical grounds, during the training period.
- Casual Leave: Apprentices will also receive 12 days of casual leave per calendar year on a pro-rata basis.
- No Job Guarantee: Completion of the apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment with IOCL.
Age limit
Candidates must satisfy the prescribed age criteria as mentioned in the official notification.

Selection Process
IOCL will conduct the selection process through the following stages:
- Merit List Preparation: The organization will prepare the merit list based on the aggregate marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination.
- Tie-Breaking Rule: If two candidates secure the same marks, the older candidate will receive a higher rank. If the tie still continues, the candidate with higher Class 10 marks will get preference.
- Document Verification: IOCL will call shortlisted candidates to verify their original documents.
- Medical Examination: Candidates must pass the prescribed medical fitness test before final selection.
- Final Engagement: Finally, IOCL will issue the apprenticeship engagement offer to candidates who successfully clear all the above stages.
