Eligibility Details
Candidates must meet the prescribed educational requirements for the respective apprentice discipline:
- Technician Apprentice (Codes 101–106): Candidates must hold a regular, full-time 3-year Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline, with at least 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Trade Apprentice – ITI (Codes 107–111): Candidates must have passed Matriculation and completed a regular, full-time 2-year ITI course in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT.
- Graduate Apprentice (Code 112): Candidates must possess a regular, full-time bachelor’s degree in any discipline, such as BA, B.Com, B.Sc., or BBA, with at least 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Data Entry Operator – Fresher (Code 113): Candidates must have passed Class 12th with at least 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. The candidate must not hold a graduation degree.
- Data Entry Operator – Skill Certificate Holder (Code 114): Candidates must have passed Class 12th and hold a Domestic Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate of less than one year’s duration from an NSQF-recognized or Central Government-recognized body.
Salary Details
Candidates selected for the apprenticeship will receive a stipend as prescribed under the applicable Apprentices Act and Apprenticeship Rules. The notification does not mention a fixed monthly stipend amount for the different apprentice categories.
- Technician Apprentice: Stipend will be paid according to the applicable apprenticeship rules.
- Trade Apprentice (ITI): Candidates will receive the prescribed apprentice stipend during the training period.
- Graduate Apprentice: The stipend will follow the rates applicable under the Apprentices Act and relevant rules.
- Data Entry Operator Apprentice: Selected candidates will receive the stipend prescribed for the applicable apprenticeship category.

The age limit will be calculated as on 30 September 2026.
- General/EWS: 18 to 24 years
- OBC-NCL: Up to 27 years

Selection Process

- Medical Examination: Candidates must pass the required Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test.
- Final Engagement: After successful document verification and medical fitness, IOCL will issue the Offer of Engagement.
- No Written Exam: The recruitment process does not include any written examination or interview.
- Further Shortlisting: If any seats remain vacant, IOCL may consider candidates from the remaining merit panel for the same opportunity.
