Eligibility Details
To apply for the PNB Local Bank Officer (LBO) post, candidates must fulfill the following educational and experience requirements:
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
- Applicants must possess a valid Graduation mark sheet or degree certificate on or before the prescribed eligibility date.
- Candidates must enter the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while filling out the online application form.
- In addition, candidates must have at least one year of post-qualification work experience in the Clerical or Officer Cadre of any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB) listed under the Second Schedule of the RBI Act, 1934.
- Furthermore, applicants must be proficient in the local language (reading, writing, and speaking) of the state for which they are applying.
- Candidates who have not studied the required local language in Class 10 or Class 12 must qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) during the selection process.
Salary Details
Candidates selected for the Local Bank Officer (LBO) post will receive a salary under the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I) pay scale.
- Pay Scale: ₹48,480 – ₹85,920 per month
- Basic Pay: ₹48,480 per month
- Pay Scale Structure: ₹48,480–2,000/7–₹62,480–2,340/2–₹67,160–2,680/7–₹85,920
- In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or Leased Accommodation, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), Medical Insurance, Retirement Benefits, and other admissible allowances as per Punjab National Bank rules.
Age limit
The minimum and maximum age will be calculated as on 01 July 2026.
