Eligibility Details
- Candidates must have passed 10th Class / SSC or its equivalent under the 10+2 system from a recognized board with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- Applicants must also possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT.
- The required qualification must be completed before submitting the online application.
- Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible to apply for this apprenticeship notification.
Salary Details
- Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during the apprenticeship training as per the rules of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Railway guidelines.
- The stipend amount will be paid according to the prescribed rates set by the Railway Administration and the Central Apprenticeship Council.
- The exact stipend may vary depending on the trade and training unit, but it will be provided throughout the training period.
Age limit
- Candidates must be at least 15 years old and not more than 24 years old as on 11 April 2026.
- SC/ST candidates will get 5 years age relaxation in the upper age limit.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates will get 3 years age relaxation.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible for 10 years age relaxation.
- Ex-servicemen can also get age relaxation up to 10 years, depending on the length of their service in the defense forces.

Selection Process
- The selection of candidates will be based on a merit list.
- The merit list will be prepared by taking the average percentage of marks obtained in 10th Class and ITI.
- Equal weightage will be given to marks of both Matriculation (10th) and ITI.
- No written examination or interview will be conducted for this recruitment.
- In case two candidates have the same marks, preference will be given to the older candidate.
- If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed the 10th exam earlier will be given preference.
