Selection Process
1. Written Examination
- Conducted by UPSC.
- Consists of two papers:
- Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type)
- Paper II: General Studies, Essay & Comprehension (Descriptive Type)

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for PET/PST.
- Includes height, chest (for male), weight measurements, and physical tasks such as running, long jump, and shot put.
3. Interview / Personality Test
- Candidates who clear PET/PST are shortlisted for the Interview.

4. Final Merit List
- Final selection is based on marks obtained in the Written Examination and Interview.
- Medical examination is conducted before final appointment.
