Eligibility Details
Candidates must have the required Degree or Diploma in the relevant discipline. The qualification requirements for different apprentice posts are as follows:
- Graduate Apprentice – Finance: Candidates should have a B.Com or BBA degree from a recognised institution.
- Graduate Apprentice – Electrical: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology.
- Graduate Apprentice – Civil: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology.
- Graduate Apprentice – Electronics/Tele Communication: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Communication or Tele Communication Engineering/Technology.
- Graduate Apprentice – IT/Computer Science: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Graduate Apprentice – Mechanical: Candidates should have a Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering/Technology.
- Graduate Apprentice – HR: Candidates should possess a Degree in any discipline along with knowledge of computer and administrative work.
- Diploma Apprentice – Electrical: Candidates should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Diploma Apprentice – Civil: Candidates should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Diploma Apprentice – Mechanical: Candidates should possess a Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering/Technology.
- In addition, candidates should have completed a full-time regular Degree or Diploma from a recognised/AICTE-approved institution, as applicable.
- Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate, while SC/ST candidates need at least 45% marks.
- The notification also states that candidates who passed their qualifying Degree/Diploma on or after 01 April 2022 can apply
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend throughout the one-year apprenticeship training period.
- Graduate Apprentice: ₹15,000 per month.
- Diploma Apprentice: ₹12,000 per month.
- The Graduate Apprentice stipend includes ₹8,850 from AAI and ₹6,150 as the Government share through DBT via BOAT.
- The Diploma Apprentice stipend includes ₹6,550 from AAI and ₹5,450 as the Government share through DBT via BOAT.
Age limit
The age of candidates will be calculated as on 31 July 2026.
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 26 years
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 years relaxation in the upper age limit
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories can claim relaxation as per the applicable rules.
Application Fee
The application process is completely free for all eligible candidates:
- General / EWS / OBC Candidates: ₹0
- SC / ST / PwBD Candidates: ₹0
- All Candidates: No Application Fee
- Therefore, candidates can submit their applications free of cost, and no fee payment is required.
Selection Process
The selection will primarily depend on candidates’ academic performance, followed by verification and other joining formalities:
- Shortlisting: AAI will first shortlist candidates based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying Degree/Diploma examination.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview through their registered email ID.
- Document Verification: Candidates must produce their original certificates and testimonials for verification during the selection process.
- Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Gazetted Government Medical Officer or a Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking.
- Police Verification: Candidates must also provide a Police Verification Certificate from their local area of residence.
- Finally, candidates who successfully complete the required verification and formalities will proceed for apprenticeship training.

- After registration, log in to your NATS account using your registered credentials.
