Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification and trade-related eligibility criteria as mentioned below:
Technician (Post Code T-01)
- Candidates must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with Science subject and secured at least 55% marks, along with an ITI Certificate in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA). OR
- Candidates must have passed 10th with Science subject and secured at least 55% marks, along with 2 years of full-time apprenticeship training in the COPA trade from a recognized institution. OR
- Candidates must have passed 10th with Science subject and secured at least 55% marks, along with 3 years of work experience in the COPA trade in a Government Department, Ministry, PSU, Autonomous Body, or similar organization.
Technician (Post Code T-02)
- Candidates must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with Science subject and secured at least 55% marks, along with an ITI Certificate in Health, Safety and Environment. OR
- Candidates must have passed 10th with Science subject and secured at least 55% marks, along with 2 years of full-time apprenticeship training in the Health, Safety and Environment trade from a recognized institution. OR
- Candidates must have passed 10th with Science subject and secured at least 55% marks, along with 3 years of work experience in the Health, Safety and Environment trade in a Government Department, Ministry, PSU, Autonomous Body, or similar organization.
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary package along with various Central Government allowances and benefits.
- Pay Level: Level-2 (7th Central Pay Commission)
- Pay Scale: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 per month
- Approximate Starting Monthly Salary: ₹39,970 per month (including applicable allowances in Delhi)
- Dearness Allowance (DA): As per Central Government rules
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): Admissible as per posting location and government norms
- Transport Allowance (TA): Applicable as per rules
- Medical Benefits: Reimbursement of medical expenses as per CSIR regulations
- Leave Travel Concession (LTC): Available as per Government of India rules
- Children’s Education Allowance: Applicable as per eligibility conditions
- Pension Benefits: Covered under the National Pension System (NPS)
- Additional Benefits: Other allowances and facilities admissible to CSIR employees from time to time

The age limit will be calculated as on 04 July 2026, which is the last date for submission of the online application form.

- Candidates must first clear the minimum qualifying benchmark in Paper-I.
- After that, Paper-II and Paper-III will be evaluated.
- Final Merit List will be prepared only from the marks obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III. Paper-I is mainly qualifying in nature.
