Eligibility Details
The educational requirements for each post are as follows:
- Storekeeper: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with Economics, B.Com., or B.B.A. from a recognised university or institution.
- Clerk: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institution.
- Steno-Typist: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institution.
- Additionally, candidates must have completed a 120-hour computer course with hands-on experience from a government-recognised or reputed ISO 9001-certified institution, or possess an equivalent DOEACC “O” Level certificate.
- Candidates must also have passed Matriculation with Punjabi Language or an equivalent Punjabi qualification recognised by GADVASU.
Salary Details
The selected candidates will receive the following pay and applicable benefits:
- Clerk: Pay Level 2 – ₹19,900 to ₹63,200
- Steno-Typist: Pay Level 3 – ₹21,700 to ₹69,100
- Storekeeper: Pay Level 2 – ₹19,900 to ₹63,200
- Allowances: Selected candidates will also receive applicable allowances and other benefits as per GADVASU rules.
Age limit
The age of the candidate shall be calculated as on 01/01/2026.
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 37 years
- Age Relaxation: Eligible candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per the applicable rules.

Application Fee
The application fee varies according to the candidate’s category:
- S.C. & PwD Candidates: ₹590/- (including GST)
- All Other Candidates: ₹1,180/- (including GST)

Selection Process
Candidates will go through the following stages in the selection process:
- Punjabi Language Test: The test carries 50 marks and includes Punjabi MCQs and English-to-Punjabi translation. Candidates must score at least 50% to qualify.
- Main Written Examination: The exam carries 100 marks, has 100 questions, and provides 100 minutes. The exam includes General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Punjab History & Culture, Reasoning & Mental Ability, Punjabi, English, and ICT. The exam applies a 0.25-mark negative marking for each wrong answer.
- Clerk Skill Test: Candidates must type in English and Punjabi at 30 words per minute. The university treats this test as qualifying.
- Steno Typist Skill Test: Candidates must clear the English and Punjabi shorthand test at 80 words per minute. The shorthand performance contributes to the final merit.
- Storekeeper Exam: Candidates will also take a Part-B paper covering storekeeping and related subjects. They must qualify both Part-A and Part-B separately.
- Document Verification: The university will verify the original documents of shortlisted candidates.
- Final Selection: The university will prepare the final merit list according to the prescribed criteria for each post.
