Eligibility Details
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements for the ITBP Constable (GD) Sports Quota Recruitment 2026:
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th standard) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates must possess the required sports achievement certificate for participation or medal-winning performance in a recognized competition.
- The sports achievement must fall within the prescribed period of 01 January 2024 to 01 November 2026.
Physical Standard
Candidates must meet the physical standards prescribed by ITBP for the recruitment:
- Male Height: 170 cm
- Female Height: 157 cm
- Male Chest: 80 cm unexpanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per the prescribed medical standards.
- Height and chest relaxations: Applicable to eligible categories as per ITBP rules.
- Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed medical and physical fitness standards during the recruitment process.
Salary Details
Selected candidates for the ITBP Constable (General Duty) Sports Quota post will receive the following salary and benefits:
- Pay Level: Level-3 under the 7th Central Pay Commission
- Pay Scale: ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per month
- Additional Benefits: Candidates will also receive Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Washing Allowance, Transport Allowance, and other admissible allowances.
- Other Facilities: The service also provides benefits such as medical facilities, uniform, accommodation or HRA, leave pass, and special compensatory allowance for eligible border postings.
Age limit
Candidates must fulfill the prescribed age criteria, which will be calculated as on 1 November 2026.
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 23 years
- Age Relaxation: Eligible meritorious sportspersons can receive relaxation as per their category and the rules mentioned in the official notification.
- SC/ST Candidates: Up to 10 years of upper-age relaxation, subject to the prescribed conditions.
- OBC (NCL) Candidates: Up to 8 years of upper-age relaxation, subject to the prescribed conditions.
Application Fee
Candidates need to pay the application fee according to their category. The fee structure is as follows:
- Male candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS: ₹100
- Female candidates (all categories): No fee
- SC/ST candidates: No fee
Selection Process
The ITBP Constable (GD) Sports Quota recruitment will follow the stages given below:
- Documentation: ITBP will verify candidates’ original educational, sports, age, category, and other required certificates.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates must meet the prescribed standards for height, chest, and weight.
- Sports Trial Test: Candidates must qualify in the sports trial by securing the required minimum marks.
