Eligibility Details
To apply for RRB NTPC 2026, candidates must meet the prescribed educational qualification for the post they wish to apply for:
- Graduate Level Posts: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- 12th Level Posts: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (+2 Stage) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Typing Posts: Candidates applying for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, or Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist must meet the required computer typing proficiency criteria.
Salary Details
RRB NTPC employees receive a basic salary according to the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC). In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates also receive applicable allowances and benefits.

- Goods Train Manager: ₹29,200 per month (Pay Level 5)
- Chief Commercial-cum-Ticket Supervisor: ₹35,400 per month (Pay Level 6)
- Junior Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist: ₹29,200 per month (Pay Level 5)
- Senior Clerk-cum-Typist: ₹29,200 per month (Pay Level 5)
Undergraduate Level Posts
- Trains Clerk: ₹19,900 per month (Pay Level 2)
- Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk: ₹21,700 per month (Pay Level 3)
- Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist: ₹19,900 per month (Pay Level 2)
- Junior Clerk-cum-Typist: ₹19,900 per month (Pay Level 2)
Besides the basic pay, RRB NTPC employees can receive allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), medical benefits, and other applicable benefits as per Railway rules.
Age limit
The age of candidates will be calculated as on 1 January 2027. The prescribed age limits are:
- Graduate Level Posts: 18 to 33 years
- Undergraduate (12th Level) Posts: 18 to 30 years
- Candidates must meet the prescribed age criteria to apply for the respective posts.
- Age relaxation will be available to eligible candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the applicable government rules.

Application Fee

Selection Process

- CBT 1: Candidates first appear for the 1st Stage Computer-Based Test.
- CBT 2: Candidates who qualify for CBT 1 move to the 2nd Stage Computer-Based Test.
